“My Forever Special Place”
One place that will always be at the center of my heart is Santorini, Greece. My father and I visited this special place together, and we share great memories about this trip. I first wanted to visit Greece because I was fascinated by Greek mythology in third grade history. The myths sounded like a dream world because the stories happened many years ago in this ancient land. Santorini was originally a volcano, which erupted many, many years ago, and at the base of island, is the Mediterranean Sea.
Our small hotel, Hotel Filotera, had a large balcony which overlooked the side of the ancient volcanic cliff which last erupted 4500 years ago. The view from the hotel is as if you were on a plane high in the sky, looking down on the Greek Islands. When I looked into this sea-filled volcanic crater, I could see the results of the explosion because this volcano made lots of new islands around Santorini.
The first dinner I had was at the “Sunset Taverna.” Here precious kittens and cats spent their evenings begging for food. At the entrance, there was a table with a fresh octopus on display. I kind of felt a little sick when I thought that this was what I was going to eat for dinner. When the waiter greeted us at our table, he took us to the back of the restaurant to show us what they served. After we chose our seafood, we sat down at our table and heard a small meow. A kitten was stuck in the rafters! After I teased her with a piece of my fish, she finally found her way down. It was almost as if one or two cats owned each table because each family had several cats begging in Greek “meows” for their scraps.
On the island, there is a gondola for cruise ship tourists to ride from the water’s edge up the cliff to the village of Fira. I took the gondola down the steep mountain. It was fun to get a closer look at the cruise ships unloading their passengers. My father and I rode the same grumpy donkey back up the massive, rocky mountain, listening to clunky hoofs hitting the ground and rocks. I felt as if I were going to fall off and tumble a thousand feet down the rocky cliff to the water below. Although I was afraid the whole way up the narrow path, we got to the top of the island on our donkey safely.
Even though I hope to return one day, I will never forget the time when I took this special trip to Santorini with my father. I will remember the great memories of us as island explorers, feeling as if the island was alive, guiding us to its mythological places. It was neat to think that I was walking in the same places that ancient Greeks walked five thousand years ago, but what made it most special was sharing the experience with my father.
“Camp Nakanawa”
Have you ever felt a real sense of belonging at a place that you love? I have. I love a special place in Crossville, Tennessee. I love it because, when I am there, I feel brave, confident, and adventurous. At Camp Nakanawa, I love lots of things like, the big blue docks, Anne and Pepy’s house, they are the head of the camp, and the awesome cabins.
The first thing is, Anne and Pepy’s house. It is so cute. It’s right by the swimming lake, and they always let us jump off their dock. From their house can hear all the camp activities going on. At night, it is quiet and peaceful. Their house is really small for two people on one thousand acres! Anne and Pepy live at this house all year round, even when there are no campers at camp. They are very nice to let all those campers stay in the cabins. I think they enjoy the company. When I am in Anne and Pepy’s house i feel safe and secure.
The next thing I love about camp is the crazy waterfront! It is so wild! I can still picture it right now, how all the girls jump into the shimmering water, which makes a splash or ripples in the water. The beautiful view of the mountains and the top view of the lake, which is beautiful. The hot water slides, and the freezing cold lake are somehow delightful. The water is as cold as going outside in the winter in a bathing suit. Okay, maybe not that cold, but it it very, very cold. The lake, called Lake Alohaloha, is so filthy I love the lake, and when it is a hot day with everyone jumping in I feel crowed and cool.
The next, and last thing I love about camp are the cabins. I love these cabins, because they are not fancy or awful. They are just like regular cabins with room for six girls and two counselors. I am glad to have good cabins instead of hard, uncomfortable tents. They are as nice as the most coziest blanket in Tennessee! On the inside, they are old fashioned and wood. The only new and modern things are the lights, which only come on for thirty minutes or even less. There are also the fans for cooling that only come on during the day, because they are solar powered. We are not even there when they are on. Still, I love these cabins, even if they are a little bit hot at night. When I am there so peaceful and content.
I feel so lucky to be able to go to a camp like Nakanawa! It’s like girl heaven for girls because we get away from family and, best of all, the conflict in our lives! All you need to do is make sure people think you are cool and enjoyable. Also, the most important one, make sure you do not get stung by a caterpillar or bitten by a snake! Camp Nakanawa is one of favorite places in the world!
“My Favorite Place”
When I think of this enchanting place, the first thing that comes to my mind is their colossal backyard. It is probably the most peaceful, pleasant, modest, sophisticated, yet glorious place I have ever been to. There are trees as tall as the sky, flowers brighter than the sun, and many birdbaths and feeders for my grandparents’ backyard animal friends. It is always the perfect place to be. At the top of the small hill that leads to the backyard, there is a “secret passageway,” dense with trees and flowers, that leads to the front driveway. This place makes me feel peaceful and safe because my grandparents are always there, whether picking up sticks or pulling weeds, but always willing to stop their jobs and explore. My second favorite place in this fancy house is their family room, the “den.” One of the walls is completely covered with books, an old-fashioned record player, and other odd, random antiques. Only one puny square is empty, where they keep their television. There is a closet on another wall, stuffed to the top and all the way out to the door, with fantastic toys, puzzles, and old games. On the opposite wall of this magnificent closet, there is a sun porch, which has original tiles and overlooks my favorite place, the backyard. This den is a place like heaven where you can just relax.
Another one of my favorite places in the house is my mom’s old bedroom. The comfortable, cozy bed makes me feel so warm when I snuggle into it at night. In this room, there is a more modern TV that I occasionally watch. There is also a rocking chair that is as comfortable as any bed could be. It is as purple as a plum, with realistic, attractive flowers weaved into it as the design.
I have memories from every stage in my life. I know where the best hiding place is for hide-and-seek, in the laundry room hamper right off the mudroom. I know all the names of almost all the neighbors. If this place somehow got taken away from me, I would be completely heartbroken. I love this house in so many ways I could not possibly describe them all. Those that I have described are just some of my favorites. I just love everything about it, and it will stay in my heart forever.

“Aspen”
What makes a place so special? Is its memories? it could be anywhere, but when you think about this place..... the walls of your heart start melting like chocolate in the oven. The place where my heart starts to melt and I have memories that are warm, inviting and makes me cry is Aspen.
I can remember when I was two or three, and my dad snapped me into my tiny skis. He gave me a push, and I gently glided down the small, slope at Buttermilk Mountain. The slope was so small, it was practically flat. At the bottom I stopped and fell over into the cold, snow. I was frozen ,but I wanted to do it again. From then on I wanted to be a skier. When I turned four or five I started to ski more. I would ski like I was running from a big bear, who was trying to eat me. It's exhilarating feeling the adrenalin spiriting through my veins,as if I were running a marathon. I look up at the slope I just conquered. It felt amazing.
I would stay at the hotel that my uncle worked at. It was called the Aspen Alps. It was small ,but I loved it. My favorite place there was standing outside my room on the porch watching as the snow fell to the ground. I felt like a cup of hot cocoa.
My next favorite place is Boogies. I’ve been going to boogies since I started skiing. Boogies is a three way cross between a 60’s dinner, an air brush tattoo store, and a clothing store. I used to HATE pie ‘till I tried it at Boogies.
The next place are the mountains. I love riding the gondola, and feeling it swing on the on the cable, when It stops. I love the view from the top of the mountains. I love smelling the smoke when I stop for lunch at the rest-stop. After I eat my lunch, I enjoy skiing down a tree trail. I get lost in the beautiful trees filled with snow. After I get out of there follow I the slope to a chair lift, and glide up for more.
Once my dad took me to the Maroon Bells. It is a frozen lake surrounded by large never touched mountains. At dawn the perilous mountains cast a large glamours shadow over the icy lake. These views are breath taking. When I first saw them, I stood in awe. I still wonder to this day if there is any thing more beautiful. I’ve longed to touch its silver smooth surface, but I can not. All I can do is stare into the trees on the on a mountain far away.
Near there is a ski patrol. I’ve seen ski patrol on the slopes with their toboggans and gear, racing to help someone. They also help people get on the gondolas on time. I went to a concert near the gondola. I listened to Vampire Weekend. The guy in the green costume made the concert.
I have had so many good times there that if something changed I would never be the same. The town would be different in a way forever. That is why I love Aspen the way it is. Small, quiet, and full of love .
“Jamaica”
The people in Jamaica are really nice, but you have to be nice to them as they are nice to you. Jamaicans speak the English language and Patois a kind of broken English. My dad is from Jamaica, but he does not speak Patois. Jamaicans are beautiful and hard working people. Some of my family still lives in Jamaica. Even though I do not live there, I am still a hard worker, because my parents teach me the importance of hard work.
Jamaica is tropical, hot during the day and cool breezes during the night. It rains just about everyday for a short amount of time; the Jamaicans call rain “liquid sunshine”. The rain does not stop me from enjoying the beaches. The beaches are like gleaming pools of water in the sunlight. I feel free from my worries when I am submerged under the clear blue water.
My favorite place in Jamaica is Montego Bay. When my family and I go to Montego Bay, we stay at a resort . The resort`s walls are a yellowish orange color, almost like a ripe mango`s skin. The resort has good views of the ocean and is surrounded by beautiful tall skinny coconut trees. Their green leaves look like large feathers. When we arrive, a man takes our luggage to our room, and I change into my bathing suit. I notice the resort has pools, tennis courts, a water park with a lazy river and much more. I feel excited because I can`t wait until we go down stairs and jump into the ocean. The ocean is as blue as the bluest eye. At the water park I meet a boy almost my age. His name is Ben. He is apparently from England, because he speaks with a British accent. At the resort I like spending time with my friends and family. My family and I get along really well in Jamaica because we do not have to rush around the place and every one is very relaxed. When I am there I feel calm and special in many different ways.
Jamaica is special to me because this is the only place I can get a variety of my favorite foods. I can drink endless pina coladas, reconnect with my heritage, and spend time with family. I can meet new friends from all over the world, and learn about the people that live in Jamaica. If I lost this special place my heart would feel like it fell into a bottomless pit. My face would become droopy, and I will feel empty like my soul was gone forever! This is why I never want to lose my favorite place called Jamaica.
“St.Thomas”
When you love a place you can’t don’t want to give it up, so if you lost it you would never forget it. When I think of places I love, the first thing that comes to mind is the glorious Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas. At the Ritz Carlton, you can almost say you are at home, well at least I can. Whenever I go there, everybody always has a heart warming smile on their almost perfect faces. I love it, because I always go with my best friend named Luke, whose extremely nice, and rich, grandparents always let us do fun things like para-sailing and scuba diving.
Besides the Ritz Carlton, I really love going to Iguana Island which got its name from the cold blooded creatures that live on it. If you ever go there, the medium to big scale sized iguanas will gather around you, and make you feel like you are one of them. They also make you feel sorry for them because when they come out of their lifeless shadows, and they only have one eye, one ear, and three egs. But other than that, Iguana Island makes me feel extraordinary because I know that those heart warming iguanas are always going to come out and visit me. Because of those iguanas, I always feel love and acceptance.
But the one place that gives us a chance to really get away from the caggravating day is the famous hot tubs. The hot tubs that I am talking about are the ones that relieve us from a long day of back breaking work and unforgettable stress. We love going to the hot tubs because it is a nice and shady spot that keeps the sizzling sun off of our sometimes sun-burnt backs. That very hot tub can make me feel safe and secure because I feel like I am in a bubble of glorious thoughts and when I think I feel like I am indestructible.
Finally, there is the “GIANT” tree at the Ritz Carlton called the giant tree; it’s a giant tree that is perfect for climbing. When, and if, you get to the top of it, there is a perfect and strong branch shaped like a bed. It is so perfect that you could take a nap on it, but if you did you would probably fall off and die. I actually almost did fall asleep once because of the rolling water, watching the fascinating iguanas pass by on the ground, and listening to the seagulls, It’s like they’re peacefully chanting, “Fall asleep..!” When I’m in the giant tree’s branches, I feel like nothing can touch me.
So yeah, I guess you could say that if I could go anywhere right now it would definitely be the place I have gone to since birth, St.Thomas, were your imagination runs free, you can climb giant tree, friendly iguanas always stay close, and you always feel acceptance.
“A Place I Truly Love ”
What does a “loved place” mean? For me, it’s a pleasant place, like a magical wonderland, where I want to be everyday. It’s a place I dearly love; I am excited to go to no matter what. If a person doesn’t have this, they are not whole. My loved place is my grandma’s house, the house makes me whole. I feel special to even know this extraordinary house, and I have a connected feel to its deck, bedrooms, dining room, living room -- every inch of it is special, like a precious heirloom.
In grandma’s cozy, calming living room is a piano, a couch, a bed for her kind, but spoiled cat, and family pictures. When I am in this remarkable room, I feel where I am supposed to be. Here, I feel I belong. Even though, some of my relatives are far away, the pictures make me feel happy like they are there. The piano's soothing music makes me feel amazed, the sound is beautiful and relaxing, and beneath the picture window, her cat’s little bed reminds me that I am loved and part of a great big family.
Holidays are happy celebrations to me and my family. My loving grandma, just for me, makes a gorgeous, glimmering house, like a bright star! The decorations are in every room, putting me into the perfect, cheerful holiday spirit. The beautiful nativity scene, magnificent lights, exquisite Christmas tree, every decoration is important and highly valued to me.
My grandma’s family room is remarkable with its spacious sofa, a reclining love-seat, and a comfortable rocker. My grandmother and I sit together to study, read delightful books, or watch hilarious shows. We like to look through the glass doors and watch the various types of colorful birds at our multiple bird-feeders. Every once in a while we see a feisty chipmunk scurrying on the deck. Close to the sofa is a cubby that has my kindergarten classmates’ and my hand prints on it. In fact, most of us capable, ethical, and articulate fifth graders have our hand prints on it. Each day my grandma tells me that this cubby reminds her that I was, and always will be, her “precious little girl”.The happiness we feel in the room is indescribable to my grandma and me.
So you see, I truly love my grandma, her cat, and the delightful home she has made for me. It hurts me to think of it, losing the house, would leave me heart broken. Everyone who is lucky enough to have a place to love should always keep it close to their hearts. It doesn’t matter if it’s miles from where you live, or if it’s your house, or if it’s the huge tree you used to climb. Even if it doesn’t exist anymore, as long as you love and care about it, that is what matters. I will never forget my grandmother and her house.
“Most Extraordinary House”
Everyone needs a special place to have a happy life I’m lucky because I do have a special, and it’s my home. The people who don’t have a special place aren’t happy because they don’t have anywhere to love and aren’t happy wherever they go. A special place is very important because you can never replace it. I do have a special place; it’s my home. I feel safe and comfortable under the roof and covers of my bed. My house has a green roof, but it’s all white everywhere else. Right next to it, is the log cabin. All they did was paint the walls white and added electricity. Right next to that is the shack. That’s where we keep our tools, sleds, and our snowboard. We even have a broken down barn that has wild kittens and birds.
One of my favorite places at my house is the living room. The living room has two lights that barely work; it goes great with all the movies we watch. It has a fireplace that we only use on Christmas, and it has a giant bookshelf by the side of the room with at least five hundred books. There is an old record player on the shelf where we keep our video games, movies, radio and our music CDs. It’s also where we have dinner and watch movies. In my living room, I feel safe, secure, and comforted.
The backyard, another one of my favorite places, has a 50 foot long garden filled with flowers, vegetables, and fruits. We eat all of them except for the flowers, we don’t eat flowers. One of the best views of all is the view of the Shrinking Mountains and the miles and miles of grassy fields. We call it the Shrinking Mountain because as we’re driving to our house, it seems to shrink. Usually when you get closer to something it gets bigger. But this is strangely different. In the summer when my grandma would visit, we would set up our badminton net and jump around hitting the birdie. It’s also where I dribble, shoot, and juggle the soccer ball. At about 6:00 pm every once in a while, we would eat dinner outside with the sunset, the Shrinking Mountain, and the summer breeze. It’s fantastic, because I feel peaceful and content with all the beautiful things going on around me.

My house is a pretty great if you think about it. It’s more fun on the weekends, breaks, or holidays than it is on school nights because I do homework as soon as I get home. But besides that, it’s great. That’s why I’m writing about the house that deserves to be written about. If I were to move into a different house I would be changed by sadness, because this house is the best house in the world.
“A Place That Is Close To Me”
Do you have a special place that is close to your heart? To me, a special place is a fantastic place where you can be alone or with friends. What makes a place special is when you have at least a couple of things that you love in it. If you don’t have a special place then you may feel sad and lonely. A special place is important to your life ; you shall never forget it. I have my own special place. My special place is my amazing bedroom.
One thing I love about my bedroom is my soft bed because it is very comfortable. After my homework is done, I can lay in it and relax, or just watch a movie. When it is time for bed, I could just sleep and hibernate like a bear! The color of my comforter is camouflage blue, and it covers my full size bed, so I have plenty of room to move around when I sleep. There are four drawers under my bed, and even a gigantic hiding spot that I use when I play hide and seek. My bed makes me feel very content because I feel safe and secure.
The second thing I love about my bedroom is my sturdy nightstand because it is a handy thing to place my books on. It is like a pack mule because it holds all of my special things such as my pictures, books and other nick knacks. It is also useful, because I will remember everything that I put there. It has three drawers, so I can hide all of my special things from my brother in them. My nightstand makes me feel comfortable because it will always hold my priceless and precious things that are close to me.
Another thing that I love about my bedroom is the square pillow that my mom made me. She took me to the fabric store to pick out fancy fabric to make it. I picked out a tiger colored fabric. The fabric is really soft and comfortable like laying my head on a cloud. Since she made it especially for me, it is my favorite pillow. I take it on every vacation no matter what. It has also become the pillow that everyone will use when they are sick or hurt. I feel very special and loved that I have this pillow.
My wonderful bedroom is the best room in the house to me. It is okay if my family does not agree with me, because it is my special place. It is the best room that I have ever seen, and I am so lucky that I have a special place in my life. If I lost this special place I would feel lonely with nowhere to go.
“Panther Mountain”
My favorite part of the hike is the top. When all of us get there, we get to eat Skittles, Hersheys, or whatever delicious candies were brought up for me, my sister Chanler, my brother Hunter, and my close friends that hiked up there with us. When we are up there at the top, everything you see is made from nature (except for the wooden cabins). It shows three lakes, and one that looks just like a key. It also shows the club where there is a bar, a place to get hot chocolate, a restaurant, an awesome view of Little Moose lake, and a giant couch where all of the kids play bingo on Friday. When I am at the top of the mountain, I feel free.
Also, there is a place along the trail, which we call “The Slippery Part”. We say that it’s slippery because it is really open and gets most of the rain out of the whole mountain. It isn't actually hard. It is really the most fun part because we get to slide on it. There is also algae which makes it 1.5 times more slippery. Sadly, it is only 0.4 miles long so we don’t go on it for very long.
There is this place along the trail that is really steep and REALLY long. it takes about 20 minutes to finish that part, even though it is about 1 mile long. There is a lot of trees, sticks, and bushes. It is at a 40 degree slant. Even though it is the hardest part of the trail, we don’t really mind it.
Panther Mountain is the special place I look the most forward to every summer. Panther Mountain makes me feel happy, and always curious. I never, ever, ever want to stop hiking Panther Mountain every year when we go to the the Adirondack or also called “Old Forge”.
“My Special Place”
Do you know what a loved place is? Well, I do, it’s a place you are longing to go to. It’s a place that you might dream about on some nights. It’s a place that makes you feel loved, peaceful, and content. If you don’t have one you are crazy. I know I have one of those places. My special place is my grandparents’ homestead in Illinois. When I go there I love playing in the pasture with my brother, eating in the kitchen with my grandparents, and working on he farm.
The pasture is a massive field where the cows graze. It is about ten minutes from the house. To get around in the pasture there are gravel paths. A forest goes around the pasture, but we don’t go in because there is not much sunlight in there. It is dark and has foxes, skunks and raccoons running around. I ride to the pasture in the pick up truck with my grandpa and brother. He takes food to the buckets and all the cows come to eat. Then my brother and I get out of the truck and play in the open field, which has hilly terrain. In some parts the grass is tall and we play tag and chase each other around. In other parts there are yellow, white and blue wild flowers. The pasture at my grandparents’ homestead is special to me because it makes me feel free run around.
The kitchen in my grandparent’s house is special because it is where we eat and talk. It is in the basement of the house, and it has a door that goes to the outside. The kitchen is a pretty large size. It has cabinets, a refrigerator, doors leading to the mudroom and an office. It has a wooden table with benches on each side and chairs at the ends. We could possibly get ten people around the table. Some of the mugs and plates we use have John Deere on them. I like to spend time in the kitchen because it makes me feel relaxed.
Working on the farm also makes this a special place. Helping my grandpa is fun because you get to feed so many cows, and get to hand feed a bull named Henry. His tongue feels like sandpaper because it is so rough. I like to feed this sick cow a bottle of milk every day and night.
Doing work with my grandma is common because there is so much to do, like washing the dishes, feeding the dogs, and vaccuming. I love working on the farm with my grandparents because it makes me feel like I can do a lot more things than I thought I could do.
If I lost this place my heart would shatter. It would feel like nothing else would matter. Every time we go there I just lay back and normally fall asleep.
“My Sweet Fantastic Home”
What is a loved and joyful place to me? It is a place where you are safe and secure, you are also loved by everyone there. I love my sweet home, because it’s located in the most fantastic place in the country, Virginia. It is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood named Virginia Oaks on Clubhouse Road. I love my sweet fantastic home because I can sit on the welcome rug on the concrete porch and see the colorful and delightful light change from day to night. When I look up at the shining, but not always bright stars, from the top soft carpet of the front stairs, they make me feel like magic is in the air. Looking out, I feel that each star is a person that I can talk to at anytime of the day.
Virginia is not only known as the state for lovers, but also for the colorful trees in the fall months. I love these lovely, colorful trees; I run past them often on my delightful comfortable front lawn. With the fall plants that are beginning to bloom, you can see the many bright and vibrant colors. It is like a thousand beautiful butterflies all around me. Some of my best and most fantastic memories are from my peaceful front porch.
Another wonderful great thing about my sweet home is my large freshly cut lawn in the wonderful backyard. It is big enough for me and my entire family to run fast and quick through it. You can play soccer and badminton, because our yard is large enough to put up a big large net. We have even played tag, but you just need to watch out for the sneaky trees and my mom’s plants because one time, I did not pay attention and ran into them. The backyard reminds me of a peaceful quiet lake where we can just enjoy each other’s company.
I like to look-up at the the shinning bright stars from the tall front staircase in my sweet home. This is where my wonderful prayers are answered and dreadful problems are solved, like family or school issues. I look up at the shining bright stars to talk to our heavenly father God. I sometimes cry so much because, I don’t understand why I make some of my horrible dreadful mistakes. I feel like Niagara Falls is in my eyes because, I cry so much. Now, when I look back at those wonderful and sometimes sad memories, I feel content. My memories of my sweet home, whether they are good or bad, they will always be with me until I die like a safe in my heart.
“Outer Banks”
What is it like to love a place and enjoy going there? Well I am a person who knows that, and I have a place where that can happen. That place is the Outer Banks. I love to go to the Outer Banks.Because it is such a beautiful and amazing place to go to. When I go there, I get to see my wonderful family and have a good time with them. When I am there, I feel so safe and secure.
The first place I love to go to in the Outer Banks is the Beach. When I go to the Beach, I love to run along the water and listen to the water. When I listen to it, the whole world stops. When I am at the beach or thinking of the beach I feel peaceful, safe, and very free. When I am at the beach I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off of me.
Another place I love in the Outer Banks, is the house we stayed. It was such a big house. One my favorite things in that house is the dining room. It has a big table and it is such a good room to interact with my family. Another place I love in that house is the pool. I would always go swimming with my cousin. We would play games in the pool. When I am at that house or thinking of it I feel safe and secure. That house is like a mirror; it looks at you with those familiar eyes. You have seen them before but they are still new to you.
The last place I love to go to in the Outer Banks, is a place called the Sweet Spot. The Sweet Spot is this awesome candy/ice cream place. It is so good I love to go there with my older cousin Phoebe. We would always get coconut water ice.We would go there every day.Sometimes we would get candy. By the Sweet Spot there were these cool stores, art places and a restaurant. At the Sweet Spot Phoebe and I would laugh so hard we did not know why, but I love to go there and meet new people and talk to them. When I am at the Sweet Spot or thinking of it I feel very, very happy and I always laugh there. The Sweet Spot is like something that is so sweet you can not leave it.
Now, do you see what it is like to love a place and believe in it.I think I know what it is like to love a place I hope you guys do to.When you love a place you love something that will just stay there even if you try to make it go away.
"A Place I Long For"
Have you ever had a place that made you feel so amazing, you wish you could always be there? A place that you have fond memories, and will always remember . For me, that is my Grandparents’ cozy home in Ocean City, New Jersey. I love this place because of the amazing boardwalks and sandy beaches, but mostly because of the way it makes me feel. It exhilarates all of my senses: the touch of the rough patio, the smell of the salty air, the taste of Mum Mum’s awesome cooking, the sight of the sandy beaches, and the happy sounds of my family.
First, I will always cherish the rocky, rough patio where we eat and have many good times laughing. It is ironic that the same patio that scraped and bruised my knees as a baby, now comforts me with the warmth it gathers in the hot summer sun and the cool dampness it gives off in the evenings. We crack delicious steamed crabs, make crazy crafts, watch loud fireworks, and ride old bikes on the patio.
My love for Ocean City grows stronger with each of the famously, delicious meals I eat there. It’s like the food is just begging to be eaten.I have had some of the best spaghetti ever on this patio. It is the fun and laughter I remember most about the yummy meals. We start laughing and can’t stop. When I am here I feel like a plant because I can open up and feel safe.
Another of my favorite things about Ocean City is the joy I get laying on the warm, soft, air mattress my Mum Mum sets up just for me. I feel like a snail in its shell snuggled inside the smooth, cotton sheets. I don’t need to pretend to be anyone I am not. I feel safe and secure under the window with the ocean breeze rolling in and the sound of waves singing me gently to bed. When I lay down on it I feel safe.
If I could choose just one place to stay forever, it would be in the feeling I have at my grandparents’ cozy Ocean City, New Jersey home. If I could take all of the fantastic memories and wrap them together, it would be like the most perfect dream. They say nothing good can last forever, but I disagree because the way I feel in Ocean City, can never be taken away. If I need to feel comfort or security, I take myself to a memory of the beach and everything is perfect.
"My Sweet Home"
My special place is my house in Gainesville Virginia, on Witton Circle. I love it because of watching T.V. and playing my video game in the family room. The two other reasons are playing sports in my bedroom and going to bed in my warm, soft bed and riding my bike on the bridge over the pond. My house is a special place in my heart because if I would lose it I would have no place to live or a home to share with my mom and dad. My house feels like a mansion because it is filled with all the valuable items that I love.
The first place in my house is the family room. When I’m not there, I think of sitting on the couch and playing my video games. When I’m there, I feel encouraged to explore more exiting places. The family room contains all the important memories of my life, such as pictures of me as a baby, and trophies and awards from important places like the nationals in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our team, the Fairfax Stars 10U got third in the nation and rode to the final games in a limo.
The second place is my bedroom because it has all the things I like mostly my basketball rim and my warm, soft bed. My bedroom feels like a basketball court because I can shoot and dribble on my hardwood floors. When I’m there, I feel warm and comfortable in my bed knowing I’m secure because my parents are down the hall.
The third place is the pond. I like the pond because I can look at the colorful fish. When I look at the fish, it is like scuba diving in the ocean because you can almost feel the fish. I like watching the geese eat seeds and poking each other. It is funny when the geese come on our lawn and eat the seeds. I also like to play baseball with my dad when I’m outside. When I play baseball with my dad, I fell like the most important kid because there is nobody around but us.
I will always love my house because it has memories and fun things I like to do. I hope the next seven years are as good as the first. When I become a parent , I hope to make a home that is as full of love like mine. Maybe, one day my son or daughter will write a paper just like mine about their house.
“Picnic at Bull Run Park”
I love a picnic spot in peaceful Bull Run Park where I normally go for fall picnics with my family. I love it because in this special place, the river and the trees always welcome me with their continuous and monotonous gurgling and rustling. Whether I’m in the forest or by the banks of the river, I feel at peace with myself. All the stress from my life disappears as though washed away by the streams of dew on the leaves. In my special place I feel secure, as though I’m protected and one with nature. When I’m there, I never want to leave. To love a place like this, where you feel safe and happy, means that you would not be able to go on if that place disappeared. If something ever happened to that place I would do everything within my power to fix it.
The river’s melodic, yet thundering sounds seem to echo around the trees, pulling me towards it with its faithful promises of cooling water over my feet and a refreshing drink o’er parched lips. I feel calm and refreshed. The wandering river meanders through the trees as though eager to get where it’s going but doesn’t know where to go. It’s always alert to chinks in rock and collapsing banks. The river shoves at the sandy banks as though envious of other river’s space. When I am near it, the river makes me feel as though I am part of its course, flowing with it.
The ancient, mysterious trees willingly accept me with rest in their dappled shade and a different perspective of life through their ever watchful eyes. The colossal foliage seems to reach out to me with their branches, as though keeping me from harm. They make me feel protected as the limbs hug around me. They stretch towards the sky, reaching for the sun that warms us. Although mute they speak, welcoming all with their intentions to the vast domain of the trees.
I remember one memorable time when I went there with two of my brothers, Tristan and Andy. Tristan and I climbed across a thin tree limb that fell over the shallows towards an island of pebbles in the river. When we tried to climb back across, Andy rocked the slippery branch making us fall into the cold water. Mom and Dad were mad at us for getting wet, but we had lots of fun. I was happy to share this unforgettable spot with my brothers.
The trees rustle and the water spits creating music with their own unique tones. They go their own ways, greeting each other when they cross paths. The trees reach over the banks to soak up the cooling liquid the river has to offer. The river, ever vivacious, tears at the rocky banks; calmly at first, but growing in anticipation, strength, and speed as it nears a steep, exhilarating drop. They twine themselves together, they need each other for survival, and that creates a deep connection between the two. When you go there you might feel the loyalty of the trees and the river and feel the need to stay there with the two companions. I cannot wait to return there again. I hope that it is always there, for all time.
“The Special Place”
What does it mean for something to be special? It is very important to you, and you can’t live without it. It is some place you can imagine in your head, and miss it when you are away from it. It is a place where you feel welcomed, safe, and secure. It cannot be replaced, or if it were, it would not satisfy you. If you found it again, you would have a year long party in that missed place. In this case, the special place is the inside of the fig bush by my house in Haymarket, Virginia. It makes me feel protected and happy. This is a very special place to me. It would make me depressed if someone were to chop it down or if we ever moved away.
The inside of the fig bush is gargantuan, like a mountain to climb. It is as big as our garage and ten bricks on top of it. It is pretty young and it still grows a lot. It is fairly wide too. It is about the length of one and one half of Mrs. Bates’ lab tables.
The inside isn’t very branchy, however, it is very leafy. The thick aromatic leaves form a large patch of shade. The shade helps me cool down after running a lot. It is a great hiding spot for playing hide and seek or when I want peace and quiet from all the chaos. It also helps keep the sun out so it is not so bright in there. The leaves are big enough that Adam and Eve each wore one giant fig leaf after they ate the forbidden fruit of knowledge. Another characteristic about a fig bush is that it can be deciduous or evergreen. In northern places, like Virginia, it is deciduous, and the figs are small, like the size of a pool ball. In warm climate countries like Colombia, it is evergreen, and the figs are huge, like the size of a softball, according to our neighbors. The figs on the bush taste extremely delicious and juicy, but the feeling of a fig is rough and doesn’t feel very good.
Insects eat figs too, such as bees and wasps. This makes me mad, because I love figs, and they take away a lot of my share. These nasty bugs love figs because of the sweet juices inside of it. Sometimes they live in the figs. Because of this, I have to be careful when harvesting these scrumptious fruits. Finding figs without insects in them is like a game of memory match to me. But my mom knows exactly which ones to pick.
For many reasons, this gorgeous bush is special to me. It is a shady refuge during the hot summer days and when I want to hide. The fertile bush is an endless supply of fruit during harvest season. I would miss the fig bush immensely if it were taken away.
“Room Sweet Room”
Everyone who has a place to love should feel special. I feel like a very special person when I think of the place I love. What if you did not have that special place? If I did not have my beautiful place I have, I`d be doing things I did not enjoy. Everyone should feel like it is part of their life, and heart. I love my place because I will always have memories, or I`m able to make memories. My special place my is my room at home, in dominion valley.
I love my room at home because it`s the warmest room in the winter and coolest room in the summer. I love it because when I come home from school I don`t mind doing my homework. It`s Also really hard to do my homework because when my hand hurts from writing, I start to doze off and look out my window. I love to sit and think about my secret thoughts in my fluffy bean bag. It`s really hard to stay awake while your just sitting there.
Off to the side, I have a small closet, that I can play hide and go seek. It`s also a really great place to build a fort out of. I can tell secrets with my friends, and it makes me feel very comfortable. My whole room makes me feel safe and secure. My favorite part about my bedroom is bed time I`m happy, because I have the most cushiony bed ever made. When you sleep on it, it makes you feel like you`re in a bunch of those soft clouds that you see on T.V.
There`s only one part I dislike, because it freaks the happiness out of me. It`s my squealing and sliding closet door. When ever you roll it to open it, it sound like a bunch of screaming bats. When ever I pass it, it makes me feel like someone strange is watching me. I love how my room is neon blue, and the other part is bright yellow. When I was little and was still into princesses, my mom painted my room with a castle on the yellow wall with beautiful clouds and such. I feel really bad for painting over it blue, because it is my favorite color. The most entertaining part is my crazy full book shelf. All I know is that it`s full of comedy, science fiction, fantasy, and even more kinds of books. I I love to read in my room. My mom got it painted just for me. I’ve grown up now and painted it blue because it`s my lot and just hang out in my awesome room. It`s the best room I`v ever seen, and if I ever move out, and go some other place.
I love how my room two parts to it. I have a little lounge and desk area, then my blue peaceful sleeping area. The most unusual part is, is that my room is bigger than a normal size kitchen. I actually do not enjoy it, because I lose so may things in it, but I still love it.
“My Amazing World”
A special place is like your own amazing world, because you have all the fantastic things you love and enjoy most. Nobody else can love this world as you do because it is all yours. I enjoy many places, but there is one special place in particular I love the most. When I’m in this place, I feel independently free and comfortable. That special place is my large red brick house, in the best town, Warrenton, and in the best state, Virginia. My mom, dad, animals, and I live there, and we will always have the sweet caring love for it.
The living room in my home has a huge place to play freely or dance creatively. My living room also has a large mirror, floor to ceiling, that I received on a beautiful Christmas morning. With my huge mirror I can watch myself dance. Along the wall, in my living room is my music player, so I can play whatever soothing or classical music I choose. When I’m in my living room, I feel like I can to do anything happily, freely, and peacefully without interruptions. I love this room very much because I feel connected to my memories of my life-long love of dancing.
In my house is my cozy and warm bedroom, painted dusty rose. I love it because it has many memories in it: objects from when I was baptized, my third grade times tables award, a framed poster from my third grade play, and pictures of family and friends. Right above my bed is the cross that I received when I was baptized. It makes me feel very safe and secure because I feel as though God is with me, and that I am in God’s hands. I feel so safe and secure like a large oak tree growing in the warm sunlight.
The last characteristic of the large house that I enjoy is the very spacious backyard. It has plenty of room to run on the green grass. It has four beautiful trees, so when the windy fall comes, I can rake the green and red leaves up and jump in them! It is so peaceful to hear the outgoing nature in motion. If I had to move and live somewhere else, the backyard I would miss the most. I love the feeling that I can run and feel the wind through my hair. It is like being on a magical green roller coaster, that travels on air and is never anxious to stop. When I run, I run with my dog, and my mind never goes to anything but happiness.
I feel so relaxed and overjoyed to live at the amazing place I do, and that is what makes my home a special place for me. From the living room to my bedroom to the backyard, being at home makes me feel overjoyed. It is my favorite world!
“Villa St. John”
A special place is where you feel free, safe, and happy. Memories from your special place can make you smile when you feel down, or help calm you when you are nervous. One of my most important “special places” in the center of my heart is Villa St.John. I have been going to Villa St John for 10 years, ever since I was 6 month old. I am 11 years old now, and I have a whole lot of special memories about my times down there. These memories make me smile, and I focus on this place when I need to relax.

Villa St.John is on a small island called St.John. The villa sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The view, sunset, and sunrise look like rainbows. You can see the ocean, and the water is so clean you can see the bottom. Once we saw manta rays in the ocean, and they were gliding through the water like ballet dancers. There is a deck where I can lay down and dry off after being at the very large pool area. As the sun warms me up, I feel mellow, relaxed and totally peaceful.
One of my favorite spots is my bedroom. If you are coming in from the pool, you would go upstairs, and my room is on the left. It is closest to the upstairs bar area where I sometimes get drinks. My bedroom has a beautiful iron bed, huge bathroom, and private balcony. I cherish my room as my safe place to go to think, dream, color, and relax.
My favorite bedroom, however, is downstairs. This room has a beautiful mosquito net draped over the bed. When you turn on the fan or open the sliding glass doors, the breeze blows in and makes the nets sway. You can lay in bed and look out to the beautiful crystal blue water, and it feels like the most beautiful place on earth. I feel peaceful and content as I softly jump on the bed and watch the view.
One thing I really love to do is run around with my dog, Chachi. He loves to chase after his squeaky toy, and he gets very excited when he sees iguanas. The iguanas like to sun themselves in the tree tops. Chachi and I get very excited when we hear them fall through the trees. One time, he was barking and barking. When we looked, there was an iguana at the bottom of the pool!
This place will always hold a special place in my heart. I have so many wonderful memories about the place and the people. Villa St John makes me feel safe, secure and very happy, and I will preserve these memories in my heart forever.
“KENTUCKY LAKE”
Why do you consider a special place special? When you have a extraordinary place you should know where it is in seconds. I think the longer it takes you to think of your special place the less exceptional that place might be. There are many places you may call special, but there is only one that is the center of your heart. In Tennessee there is an amazing lake called the Kentucky Lake, and it is my favorite place. There are many, many, many reasons I love this place. When I get there I always run to the boat dock. Then I sprint to the boat in joy knowing I’ll soon go skiing on the smooth, slick, glassy lake. The wakes from the boat look mean at first, but once you’ve gone over them you will find they’re friendly and easy to glide across. It feels like it’s slick ice on a winter day though it’s summer.
I feel very lucky because every summer I get to visit the place on Earth that is most exceptional to me. My cousins that I see there are really exciting, crazy, and fun. I have a lot of fun cousins. During the summer I visit there at least four weeks. When I am there I am so happy, relaxed, and full of excitement. I feel like a visitor to a foreign land who is always anticipating the next adventure, no matter what happens.
When I’m in our boat the feeling is amazing and exciting, yet indescribable. Our boat is a red and white deck boat. The following are my favorite parts! We water ski, knee board, tube, and sometimes we stop to swim and jump off the boat. We love to go to Pirates Cove which has great food. I recommend the fried Oreos, they are like heaven in your mouth. We also love to go to Redneck Island which is always super duper fun! Redneck Island is like an amusement park on the water. It has a trampoline, a giant floating hamster ball (but for humans), slides, and launchers. (This part is fun!) The launchers are giant airbags where my Dad jumps on one side and launches me off the other side. The first time we did it he launched me 15 feet in the air! It makes you feel like a human rocket! One time my Dad sent my brother into a back flip during the flight off the launcher!
The last time we were there we found out my mom’s cousin is having a baby girl. These are just some of the reasons I love summers in Tennessee, and why it is the place that is most special to me. If I lost this place I would feel sick, it would be like losing a member of my family, because the Kentucky Lake is more important to me than anything.
“Sun Valley, Idaho”
A special place is where someone feels safe, loved, a sense of belonging, and is happy and secure. It is important to have a place where you feel loved. Without a special place, someone might feel lonely, insecure, unsafe, and sad.Feeling sad and unhappy is not a good thing. If I lost this place I would have lost something that is a part of me and I would not be happy. My place is Sun Valley, Idaho. Sun Valley is one of the coldest places I know, I love it for its beautiful tall mountains where we snow ski, and the two-story condominium we stay, and the gleaming fireplace.
The stucco condominium is where my family and I stay when we visit Sun Valley. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living area. The first bedroom is on the floor is where we keep our ski equipment. The author bedrooms are on the second floor my parents and Liam sleep in the first bedroom, and Jack and I sleep in the second bedroom on the second story. It is at the bottom of the first Baldy Mountain ski lift. Baldy is the largest mountain to ski on. I feel safe in the condominum because my family is around, and my family makes me feel safe and happy.
The fireplace is a special place in the condominium. It is in the living area and we can see the snow. My family is all in the same room when the fireplace is lit. My mom is watching TV, and my dad and brother are on the computer but we are all in the same room. We talk about our day. Mom does not ski so she likes to hear about how ,and where we skied that day. my dad stokes the fireplace with wood which it keeps the fire going for my family and I. I feel loved by the fire place because my family is all in the same room, and back home my family is scattered.
The last place that I like in my special place is the mountains because I live in the mountains in Virginia. The mountains in Virginia are about two in a half a mile away. My home in VA is surrounded by mountains and so the mountains in Sun Valley remind me of home in Virginia . The highest mountains are covered in rock and snow ,and the smallest mountains are grass and snow,.The snow is white as a cloud. I feel a sense of be belonging in the mountains because I grew up the mountains. Sun Valley will all whaes be a special place in my heart.
“A Special Place”
Everyone needs a special place to have a wonderful life. A special place is somewhere you enjoy going, you are very excited to go there, and you love that place. Because a special place cannot be replaced, it is very important in your life. My special place is a hidden waterfall off the Shenandoah River. This place is amazing to me, and I can look forward to going to it each summer. There are some very special things here, and they are the reason it is in the interior of my heart and is my special place.
One of the things that make this place so special to me is the waterfall. The waterfall is beautiful. It is tall and thin, and the water shining in the sun makes it look like a silver sheet. As the water rushes down it looks like it’s in a hurry to get somewhere, but it doesn’t know where. Underneath it the water has carved it is a perfect place to watch the waterfall. The top of the waterfall is smooth from the water pouring over it. When I’m here or when I think about the waterfall I feel very happy. I feel like I’ll never have troubles again, and that the world is perfect. This is a great feeling to have.
Another very important thing to me here is the the water, because the water feels cold and fresh after the river water. The water gets cloudy when sand from the bottom is kicked up, and it looks like a volcano., but it is very peaceful when it is undisturbed because it looks like glass. The water is 12 feet deep, so you can swim in it. It looks like it lazy as it drifts about, and I find it very peaceful. When I’m in the water I feel exuberant and full of energy. I feel as though I could do anything. This water feels very nice after canoeing in the hot sun.
Another important thing there is a rope swing. It is tall and thin, and the rope is slippery from the splashes of water. The rope swing is tied to a huge tree that is rough and hard to climb. It is hard to stand on when you swing into the water. The rope swing is always jiggling as though it is exited to have someone swing on it. When I think about the rope swing I feel connected to it by the memories of swinging, and all the fun I had.
These are the reasons why this place is so important to me. I very much want to go back here, because it is a fun place to go to. On top of the waterfall is a creek where there are tiny fish to see. I am always exited and happy to go here. This is truly a special place to me, and I would be terribly sad if I lost it.
“Christmas Time”
I am so lucky to have a special a place like my home during Christmas time. Why you ask, because some people don’t even have a home or even a special place. I love my cozy, wonderful, spectacular home during Christmas time, because it’s so much fun.
I enjoy dancing in the ballet, the Children’s Nutcracker, playing the guitar, and opening Christmas presents. Dancing in the Nutcracker is sometimes scary and sometimes so fun, because you never know how it turns out. Last year the music was awful. Playing Christmas songs on the guitar around the warm fireplace with my grandparents is wonderful. This makes me feel cozy, safe, and secure when I’m with my grandparents. Then there is opening presents.Where a surprise hides like a jack in a jack box. My cousins are usually ripping up the wrapper and sometimes the gift too! It is as if a tornado struck, but with twisted wrapping paper.
The kitchen is exciting were we make Christmas Dinner for our guests. There is always turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, macaroni and cheese, and string bean casserole. When we make dessert, it is mouth drooling. There is pumpkin pie, chocolate pecan pie,Christmas sugar cookies, home made fruit cake, vanilla ice cream, peppermint ice cream, rocky road ice cream, and banana bread. All of the smells in the kitchen smell like your in the place were all the angels cook. This is the most comforting and belonging place I know because I love to bake, so it feels that I should always be there. I wish that it could be Christmas all the time.
It is so peaceful and happy because I always get to sit next to my cousin, Nick, around the dinning room table. I like to sit next to him, because he is always so happy and not distracting, unlike my other cousin Matthew. Then it is time to dig in, which is my favorite! While we are together, we talk and tell funny jokes. The hand painted nativity set is always fun to set up, but you have to be careful, or it might break. After that we watch a Christmas movie, such as a Christmas Carol in the family room. We all laugh at the movie. After that we eat dessert and the fire burns down. The ginger bread house that we keep nibbling at is made up of hard candy, gum drops, mints, sprinkles, frosting, and candy canes. The decorative Christmas tree is so beautiful with all its ornaments, candy canes, and lights. It is a beautiful sight.
It is time to open the wonderful presents around the Christmas tree. You never know what is in there. While we’re opening the presents around the beautiful Christmas tree, we sing Christmas carols. Finally it is time to go. Sometimes I try to hide my cousins and me. When they leave, I say good bye. Then I go to sleep waiting for Santa Claus. I dream of seeing the cookies eaten by Santa Claus. I wait to see if the stockings are full of treats or coal, but I never have received coal before!I dream of the presents I might get. The thoughts in my head about the reindeer. That are eating the food that we left outside that night before. It is devastating to think that some years we don’t get to host a Christmas dinner. But I know Christmas at my Aunt’s house is just as well as my house, well not as much. But this is why I love my cozy, wonderful, fantastic home at Christmas time.
“The Cute Little Brick House”
The place that I long for is my grandparent’s house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It was a small brick house with two stories and blue shutters. It was great because of its main hallway, kitchen, screen room, back porch swing, and garage. This is a special place to me because I feel loved when I go there.
My bed in the house was a circle, like a dog bed. I love just sitting in bed listening to the crickets, watching the fireflies, while the sun is setting and the moon is rising. It is so calm, peaceful and relaxing.
When I wake up, my Dad puts donuts on the table and I grab one and head to the screen room to watch the birds and the squirrels. That is so relaxing and peaceful, it seems like I could stay there forever. After we go to the beach and ride bikes, I like to go out back and walk on the walnuts. It feels so good on my feet like a message. The house is brick and has many features like the basketball hoop, blue shutters, statues in the back yard, and a table with an umbrella. We can’t go there anymore because when my grandmother died, my grandfather couldn’t take over. They were not divorced or anything ,and I will never understand.
When I am bored, I go outside and listen to the music on the porch swing it seems like no one is around me. It is so splendid, wonderful, charming, pleasant, and outrageously good. On Sundays or Mondays, my Aunts and Uncles and cousins come over to the cute little brick house. That is special to me, because I get to spend the nights and days with my family members at my favorite place in the world so far.
It is so much fun when we would go there. Oh, I am going to miss that place so badly it is really sad. Now that the house has been sold it seems like a part of my life has broken off. I remember going there like it was yesterday! I remember that the girls had lemonade stands all the time while going and coming back from the beach. There was this one time,we forgot the key for the house. We left it in the house and it was raining so hard. The back gate wouldn’t open so we needed to jump over the gate. That was a great memory about the gate.
It is so bad that the house was sold now we have to stay on a fifty-nine floor hotel right on the boardwalk. When I pass the bridge of the way there, I think of the cute brick house with the blue shutters, and how I can’t go there any more. Oh I am going to miss that place.
“My Special Place”
Do you know what a special place means? It means that you are excited to go there. Most of all it means that when you are there, you feel like you belong there. It is very sad if there is no place that you are excited to go to. My special place is Deep Creek Lake, Md.My grand parents have a lake house walking distance to the amazing lake. It has everything that I want from mini golf, to real golf, to delicious ice cream. Those all together in one place are as special as a nice juicy Filet Mignon.
The first thing that comes to mind is the boat. The boat is very special because we always do the best things while we are out on the lake. We go to get ice cream from what I think is the best ice cream shop in the world, The Creamery . We also go twenty miles an hour on a tube. Whenever I go with my sister, she always screams bloody murder. I always have to say:”you realize that Papou (our grandfather) was in the navy, and he wouldn’t do anything to hurt us!” The boat has many things that you are able to do, but the point is to have fun while you do them. Whenever I go out on the boat or anywhere on the lake, I feel very peaceful, and most definitely content.
The second thing that come to mind is the big TV room. They have awesome chairs that can turn seven hundred twenty degrees! When we play hide and seek with the lights turned off, it is spooky and breath taking. When I’m in that room, it is as special as a steak from Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Whenever we all do something in that room, I feel special and like I belong there.
The last but definitely not the least is the food. The best food that we have has to be the homemade mashed potatoes, the delicious lasagna and the ice cream. It is like a movie theatre:” These homemade mashed potatoes are coming to a theatre near you!” We also make deviled eggs, then throw them off the deck and try to catch them in our mouths.I caught the first egg two years ago! The best food that is in the city of Deep Creek Lake, maybe even the world, is... the ice cream. I have said it once, and I will say it again. Whenever I go to get ice cream, it feels as if my dreams of getting that ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner become a reality! Whenever I get ice cream or any kind of food, I feel like I belong there. That is what a special place means. It has to have something like these that makes you feel like you belong there. I am a very lucky person to have this place, and feel the way I do about it.
